Summer Raw Week



There is something about the hot months of summer that makes eating raw sound refreshing and delightful. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE cooked veggies, lentils, yada yada yada. But there is something liberating about not needing to whip out a single pot or pan and run on hydrating sweet, cold food from the fridge! Plus it is always good to give your system a break and eating raw really is very cleansing. I enjoy juices and smoothies as much as anyone but I’m not a huge fan of juice feasting… I like chewing my food even if it super juicy and high water content.

Anyways, I was doing some meal planning and came up with this delicious week of breakfast-lunches and dinners for a shopping list. Basically I will graze throughout the day on heaps of fruit and end the day with a massive salad or “pasta” dish.

I do have iced coffees and if I feel like eating cooked food or something not on the list I won’t hesitate, but I’m telling you nothing tastes better than an abundance of fruit and veggies in my boiling hot apartment at the moment.
