Taking Stock -2016

Hey hey.

Tgif, am I right?! Blogging from bed, coffee in tow, dog cuddling feet, husband snoring at 6:55 am when I have to be out the door in like 30 minutes. But I can’t help myself.

I have put out less posts in December, because I have been taking stock. Of a lot of things, in a lot of ways. And planning for 2017. I love resolutions. But a dream without a plan is a crock of melarky, folks. So rather than spewing content in the form of blog posts, I have been making excel spreadsheets and researching local trail runs and planning weekend trips and setting goals and listening to podcasts and… you get it, right? As a self development junkie, I am always trying to be better than I was the day before.

Of course, as a writer, I want to tie up all of these things going on in my mind and deliver them to you in a neat shiny package. The truth is, it’s just a busy busy weekend and if I want to get any of this out it is going to have to be in the form of mumbo jumbo.

I have 4 intentions set for 2017 and am working on actionable plans and vision boards for each intention. More on that in a separate post. Maybe. Maybe I’ll keep it as vague as what can be gleaned from the above photo. ;).

I also need to do a post about all of the amazing podcasts I discovered in 2016. Here is a snapshot, but it is not a full list.

Update: 7:44 and parked outside work. Life, man. The plan is to be uber productive Today so I can fully enjoy my long weekend in Portland :).

So, 2016. It’s been real. Looking back on my weekend recaps and race recaps and Instagram gallery has been helpful to remind me of all the great times 2016 and I shared. I did a lot of growing.

2017 is going to be great. The way I see it, there is no reason why life shouldn’t get better and better and better.

Cheers to you, to taking stock, and to celebrating life, friend.

🙂 ❤
