Chocolate Oat & Fruit Cinnamon Rolls


Okay… They may not look as appetizing as your traditional cinnamon rolls, but TRUST ME, they are soooooo yummy!

My original plan was to make the Energy Balls I invented with ingredients I had on hand about a month ago. I should do a recipe post for those bad boys too… But I don’t really remember what I threw in them…

I definitely wanted them to be chocolatey, but I was out of the chocolate almond butter I had used in the original energy balls. So instead I made about 14 oz of hot chocolate (just the cheap powdered mix), and added the oats. I thought Peanut Butter, honey, and dates would thicken it enough to make balls, and they almost did, but not quite. I knew I wanted something that could be finger food, which is when I saw the flour tortillas in the fridge.

I definitely associate flour tortillas with savory food like burritos, but there is nothing inherently savory about them. They can be for sweet stuff, too!

All you have to do:

1. Add hot water+hot cocoa mix to a stirring bowl
2. Mix in Oats
3. Add lots n lots of peanut butter, honey, vanilla extract, and cinnamon
4. Chop up desired fruit (I used apples and dates!)
5. Roll up and cut into desired size
