Hi there. This may be my last post for a little while. For reasons I have eluded to in my post last week about The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, or maybe my Rosh Hashanah Reflections post. Or even my 5 Goals for 2017.
Well, the bottom line is that I’m craving simplicity. I really need to simplify things. If I can, I feel like I just want to spend a few weeks getting quiet. Produce less content. Evaluate what is really important to me. Find more inner peace in my 8-5. Find more inner peace in every minute of every day, really. Empty my mind of the should and could and will and must.
I’m just a gal doing my best, and that is all I can do. But also, I think if I get rid of the extra crap that isn’t enhancing my life (physical or not), it will become more and more clear what I truly desire.
Like, I just pulled the trigger and booked a flight to go visit some friends in Phoenix in two weeks. I know it was not the “financially responsible” thing to do. I know that I could have saved those 2 extra vacation days for the “trip to Hawaii” or “trip to Dublin” that hopefully will, but may or may not ever happen.
Or like, how I am currently rereading my favorite book, for the simple fact that it brings me joy.
So until next time, a few things on my horizon that I am very excited about:
-Busting out the last 5 weeks of training for the Vernonia Marathon.
-Continuing to Spring Clean and go more minimal.
-Getting some much needed Vitamin D in Arizona. (And finding at least one desert trail run. Eek! Can’t wait to run in Sports Bra weatherrrrrr).
-Keep up with the home cooking and probably play boat loads of Catan with friends. Like I did not this last Friday but the Friday before:
-Celebrating Barley’s Birthday (he is turning two! I’m guessing I’ll need to post some birthday pics).
-Trip to Lincoln City
-Trip to Bend
-Eugene Half Marathon
-3 Year Anniversary!
Busy times. But definitely fun times. COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS UNTIL IT IS OFFICIALLY SPRING! Winter can kiss my booty.
Thank you so much for reading my blog. Even if I may be posting less frequently, my intention is that when I do post they will be extra juicy for ya ;).
Until next time, take care of yourself, and my wish for you is that you put something on your calendar that is solely for the pleasure of your soul.
